Provision of Consultancy Services to Australian Nuclear Science and Technology Organisation (ANSTO)

SMA has been under contract to ANSTO since May 1999 to provide consultancy services in relation to the upgrading of ANSTO's quality documentation and procedures to AS/NZS ISO 9001 standards. This upgrade was critical to the organisation's application for licensing approval under the Australian Radiation Protection and Nuclear Safety (ARPANS) legislation.

SMA's services to ANSTO have included:

• conducting an initial review and assessment of ANSTO's quality documentation

• establishing a plan of action for upgrading the documentation to the required standards

• identifying individual tasks and relative priorities to be addressed

• developing quality procedures.
